Construction begins

 on Turtle Village Church Expansion

After three years of planning and prep work, the Turtle Village parish Church expansion is under way!

Turtle Village (Koroivonu), located on the south east end of the island of Vanua Levu, is a growing area. Tourism and the natural growth of the parish community left the village in need of expanding their parish church. This small Catholic community has a vibrant faith. Two years ago one member of the community was ordained to the priesthood and today there are three young men studying for the priesthood in the Diocese of Suva seminary.

This project was funded by the office of the Propagation of the Faith, Diocese of Charleston. To support project like these, talk with Fr. Kirby in the Office of the Propagation of the Church.
